Brief Answer:

Continue giving crocin and Septran, if needed Meftal P

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

The report shows plenty of pus cells which suggests urinary tract infection(UTI).

Fever is very common in UTI and usually remains to a high degree during the initial few days.

Here I would suggest you to continue giving crocin(paracetamol) and do tepid sponging as it helps in bringing down the temperature.

Meftal p contains mefenamic acid and acts differently from Paracetamol.

It can be given three times a day in a dose of 6-8 mg/kg/dose(around 3.5-4 ml/dose).

Most of the organism causing UTI are sensitive to Septran so it is a good choice unless we are getting the culture report.

Give plenty of water as it helps in maintaining hydration, bringing down the temperature and also in flushing out the bacteria from the urinary tract. I hope fever will decrease within the next 24 hours with the same treatment.

If fever persists(does not getting down) even after all these measures or if you notice other significant problem like poor feeding, vomiting, excessive irritability; please consult your pediatrician immediately.

Hope I have answered your query.

Take care
