Can A Large Bilateral Renal Calculi Pass Without Lithotripsy?
Depends on how large is large for passage?
Detailed Answer:
Good Day and thank you for being with Healthcare Magic!
Generally it will depend on the size of the renal calculi. a 5-6mm kidney stone has a 60% chance to pass out spontaneously and the percentages will go down as the size of the stone increases. If the kidney stones are causing your flank pain then it will not stop until there is relief of obstruction (lithotripsy or any form of stone fragmentation).
I hope I have succeeded in providing the information you were looking for. Please feel free to write back to me for any further clarifications at: http://www.HealthcareMagic.com/doctors/dr-manuel-c-see-iv/66014 I would gladly help you. Best wishes.
