Detailed answer below.

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX
Thanks for the query.I understand your concern.
The burning feeling you have in your lower abdomen ,)above the public bone) is burning in urinary bladder and urethhra. These are the two extreme parts of urinary system. The bladder overlaps on uterus in females...that's why you take it as burning in uterus.
You have caught urinary infection&Nitrofurantoin is one of the antibiotic to treat the infection, causing the burning in micturation.
I would like to tell you that urinary infection is stuborn to leave your body& it lingers for long time(to become chronic infection) or recurs, if not treated sufficiently.
So you need -
- To take the medicines very regularly to finish the course given at a stretch, drink sufficient water through out day.., Keep genitals&urethra clean...& consult your doctor before you stop medicines.
- You would need repeted urine examination to confirm removal of bacteria from your system.
-Some times we advise for urine culture&sensitivity test.(.in case the infection is not relived or removed even after antibiotic course.)This test helps in selection of suitable ,effective & sufficient length of treatment.
-Treatment of both sex partners is sometimes necessery.
-So please don't be tense, continue with medicine /be in touch with your doctor&follow the advise meticulously, till complete recovery is confirmed.
I hope that helps.Any follow up query is welcome.
Thanks.
