I Take 2-3 Mgs Of Xanax At Night For Anxiety
Question: I take 2-3 mgs of xanax at night for anxiety and it helps me get to sleep. once or twice a week I have cocktails. is it accurate that alcohol leaves your system at a rate of about one drink an hour. also should I start keeping time from the first drink or from when I finish. I%E2%80%99ve been taking the xanax for about 15 years so I get real antsy the longer I wait. tyia.

When you are taking a fairly large dose of a benzodiazepine like xanax (2-3mg is a large dose), it is really best not to drink any alcohol. If you really want to have a cocktail occasionally, I would try to stick to only one drink.
It is actually recommended for all women that they never drink more than one alcoholic drink per day and this is especially true if you are taking a drug like xanax.
The one drink per hour data is for men. Women metabolize alcohol much more slowly than men.
If you drink a cocktail I suggest that you only drink one and that you wait at least 3 hours before taking the xanax.

im not sure why it says im a female. im a 220 pound 6%E2%80%991%E2%80%9D male. so that should metabolise faster correct?
