I stopped on monday per my therapist, I usually only take .25 nightly ever since then I'm anxious, shaking hands, nausea, weird dreams, hot flashes in the middle of the night. I figured this was such a low dose my body couldnt become addicted. What can I do? I'm really afraid . I have been on this dose for almost 2 months
Brief Answer:
Gradually tapering dose recommend, talk to your therapist.
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear, welcome to Ask a doctor service.
I read your query and here is my advice.
It would be advisable if you have lowered the dosage gradually taking 3/4 of tablet for a week and then 1/2 tablet of 25 mg for a week and 1/4 for another week. This gradually lowering if dosage could have made you to have less symptoms.
You can talk to your therapist about the symptoms because he should know about them.
Also you may need more support from family to help you go through this phase.
Also try to eat well and drink lots of fluids.
Hope I have answered the question.
