Brief Answer:
Pneumonia

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for contacting HCM with your health care concerns.

You are being treated currently for pneumonia and your doctor started you on a sulfa drug. This is not the first choice for community acquired pneumonia. It is an good antibiotic and should help stop the pneumonia but if you get worse while taking it I recommend you call your doctor for a different antibiotic

The rash you have in your groin maybe a fungal infection. I would not recommend using the cream as it may potentiate the problem. I recommend starting over the counter nystatin or lamisil spray powder. Then you may need to lay around naked a few days to allow the scrotum to dry out. Fungal infections love warm moist dark places and if you leave it to the open air it will hinder the growth.

I hope I answered your question. Please contact HCM again with your health care concerns
