Question: i get anxious when things at work change unexpectedly, or when I'm told one thing and then a few minutes later told something different. I seem to struggle with adapting to change suddenly or when given short notice or when something is different than I expected. Is this a form of autism or ?

Brief Answer:
No it is not autism

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for using Healthcaremagic.

I read your query and understand your concerns.

Difficulty in adapting with new information is not the symptom of autism. In autism you have the same pattern of working, poor social skills and repetitive behaviour along with lack of proper language development.

What you described could be the manifestation of anxiety as new information creates bothersome effects because brain gets involved with anxious thoughts. This is normal for all of us but we are anxious our coping mechanisms get out of order and we find it difficult to adapt with new information.

I hope this helps you.
If you have more questions feel free to write back to me.
Thanks and regards.
