Suggest Treatment For Severe Pain In The Left Breast While Coughing

Question: I fell Sunday and now I have a pain under my left breast. I had this same pain front coughing too hard this past Nov. 2016. The pain finally went away. Since then I have two compression fractures at the T-4 and T-9 12/23/2016 from lifting a 5 gallon water bottle. I am still being treated for this and wear a TSOL brace and take pain meds. I am afraid maybe I broke another bone or rib. I am going to get an x-ray tomorrow, but I was just wondering if there is bone there anyway. I am having a Esophageal Monametry that was scheduled in the beginning of Nov. 2016 when I first had the pain from coughing hard from asthma.

Hello,
I have studied your case and I think you are having osteoporosis with weak bones. This explains your spine fracture. Now severe bout of cough or even a sudden movement can cause hair line fracture in ribs. Your x ray will confirm this. It is nothing to be panic of. Ribs fractures heal very well without doing anything.
You have to follow these steps.
1.Take care of weak bones. start treatment of osteoporosis. It can be by taking calcium 1000 mg daily and 60000 unit vitamin D per week for six weeks.
2.Injection Teriparatide S.C. can be taken for three months to make your bone stronger.
3.For ribs pain you can apply volitran ointment and hot water fomentation is also helpful.
