Suggest Treatment For Symptoms Of Gynaecomastia
My question is related to Testosterone levels in a male of 27 years. Why i am asking is because i observe puffy nipples since last few years which i cannot get rid with exercise thus indicating gynaecomastia kind of situation which i believe is due to hormonal imbalance also i am currently suffer from fatigue increased body fat, low libido (decrease in sexual drive with Erectile dysfunction sometimes) as well as not sure but i feel that my genital is getting shrunk or not proper as it is used to be when flacid. DO i need to visit a doctor for some checkups or i need to change my lifestyle ( i sleep till mid day and work in night hours which i will soon discontinue).
Thanks,
XXXX
you need to get clinically examined and investigated thoroughly ..
Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXX, Welcome to HCM,
I've gone through your Query and understand your concern,
Now gynecomastia or not, will only be possible to determine after examining you clinically, but do note that almost every male around the world has an element of it, to some extent.. but when it's associated with other health concerns and / sexual dysfunction then it becomes bothersome..
From your description i can see that some them have already started happening, but majority of the times they tend to be associated with psychologiacal rather than being actually organic..
So, my advice'd be, schedule an appointment with an Endocrinologist / Sexologist (whomever is easily accessible for you) for a detailed clinical examination and hormonal assay if suspected.. I won't be surprised if it comes absolutely fine as majority of the time it's purely psychogenic for which you'll be needing psychological counseling by either Sexologist / Psychiatrist..
But organic causes need to be ruled out at first, so the primary consultation should always be with the Endocrinologist / Sexologist..
Certain other lifestyle modifications have to be implemented in your daily life i.e. abstinence from alcohol (if you do), avoiding junk/deep fried/processed food, eating lean protein like fish/chicken etc., include fresh fruits, green vegetables, legumes in good proportion..
Try to start working out, gradually by free hand exercises, then increasing it to jogging in the park 20-30 min per day..
Yes, ensuring a proper 8 hour sleep duration at night is extremely important too, avoid caffeinated drinks at least 2-2.5 hrs prior to bed time, it'll help..
Also discuss with the endocrinologist, regarding a iron profile and lipid profile, FBS, PPBS check-up along with the routine hormonal panel after the clinical check-up..
Don't worry, it doesn't appear too serious, and please stop worrying about shrinking of genitalia, as it's mostly due to excessive stress only..
Let me know how you stay in the due course..
Best Wishes
Kind Regards
