Brief Answer:
Seems molluscum contagiousum, however, following details required first...
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX
I have gone through the photo you provided of the strange spot on your daughter's kneed and understood your concern.
Before running into final conclusions, I need to know some details regarding the spot:
- since when you noted it?
- is it itchy? painful?
- does she have in other sites?
- is she running fever or other flu-like symptoms too?
From what I've seen so far, the strange spot seems to be molluscum contagiosum which is very common in pediatric ages.
It usually does not require any special treatment as it disappears on its own.
All the best.

It doesnt seem itchy or painful.. it has been around for some months now.. she has no fever and this is the only one on her body
Brief Answer:
Molluscum contagiosum might last for a few months or years in children...
Detailed Answer:
Hi back XXXXXXX
It's great that she is not having any pain or itchiness locally although it has been around for some months now.
Sometimes, it might require months or years for molluscum contagiousum to disappear. So, to my opinion, let it disappear on its own.
If you might see any changes, then, contact a dermatologist to evaluate further.
However, if you are still worried, can get an appointment with dermatologist now and confirm it.
All the best.
