What Causes Frequent Headaches In An Elderly Person?

Question: My father-in law had some problem earlier ...And he treated accordigly but that is on right side of brain but Now again he is getting headache on left side of brain ... Did doppler and mri test but unfortunately doctor is not available. Will you pls let us know how severe it is

I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
The headache episodes seems to be primary type.
Mri brain is showing age related changes.
Brain angiography and carotid doppler is showing atherosclerotic changes which may be due to age, hypertension, diabetes, dyslipidemia.
Is there any sleep disturbances?
Any vomiting, visual complains, sensitivity to light or sound?
Any stress or anxiety?
Amitryptiline 10 mg once daily at night may be sufficient at present with pain killers as when needed.

Hi,
Yes he is having sleeping disturbence
Also, if he listen more volume of music in theatres then he will get vomitings.
He is having blood pressure.

Current medications:
Eptoin 300 mg for fits
Clapiolet for earlier blood clot problem
Termakind h

Please suggest the long term treatment ...

Lifestyle modifications like timely food, proper sleep is important.
Amitryptiline can be started initially 10 mg and can be increased to 25 mg after 10 days.
Continue rest medications.
