What Causes Pink Vaginal Spotting And Cervical Mucous Discharge After An Intercourse?
Question: Hello! I had stopped taking the XXXXXXX pill at the end of last month. My period started on the 10th of this month but only last two days with light spotting on the 3rd day. On the 17th, I decided to start the XXXXXXX pill again. On the 19th, I started vomiting shortly after I took it and haven't taken it since (today is the 5th day).
My question is, on the 20th, several hours after having sex with hubby, I noticed a lot of pink spotting when I woke up then that night a copious amount of yellowish, grainy cm followed by small amounts of what seemed to EWCM for the next 3 days. After that it seems to have dried up. My cervix is almost out of reach so, I can't really assess whether its open, closed, soft or firm...though, from what I CAN tell - it seems swollen.
What's going on?
Could I have ovulated sooner than expected? Or, could it simply be that my body is gearing up for ovulation?
Please advise.

Brief Answer:
This is not ovulation
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I understand your concerns.
This is not ovulation. This cervical mucous is due to influence of high progesterone levels in the body and nothing else.
The pink color is due to any remaining Endometrial tissue that has not she'd during your cycle between 17 to 19.
Your cervix will be little thick if you have delivered recently. Nothing to worry about it.
Let me know if you need anymore help.
Regards

Thank you very much for your assistance!
I have not recently had a baby. Although, I did notice this evening that my cervix was somewhat soft, long, and thick.
Does this indicate anything?

Brief Answer:
Nothing to worry about
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
It's normal to have such cervix. There is nothing to worry about it. Small changes like you explained in cervical changes occur when there is progesterone hormone influence. The findings you said correlate with progesterone hormone which on normal and nothing to worry about.
