Brief Answer:
Vomiting likely due to gastritis, pain in the arms due to electrolyte loss

Detailed Answer:
Hello Ms XXXXXXX

Thank you for the query.

The vomiting is likely due to food poisoning or stomach inflammation.

If your son vomited many times in the last night, that could lead to electrolyte disturbances that cause severe cramps in the muscles. This could explain the pain in the arms your son is experiencing.

You can wait and watch for any other symptoms such as fever, loose stools, further vomiting.

Meanwhile I strongly suggest you to give him adequate fluids with electrolytes (You can get electrolyte based liquids, or else you can mix the ORS powder with plain water and give him that).

Keep an eye out for dizziness, black outs, fainting or irregular heartbeats.

If you notice any of these, you need to take your son to an Emergency room.

For the stomach inflammation, I would prescribe Omeprazole (Prilosec), twice a day for 5 to 7 days, half an hour before meals.

Ask your son to drink plenty of fluids (fruit juices included), and eat food normally (home made).

I hope this answers your concerns, please feel free to write back to me if you have any additional concerns.

Wishing your son a speedy recovery.

Best regards
