Brief Answer:
Report shows allergy, high light chains suspicious for plasma cell dyscrasia

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query on Ask A Doctor forum.

The blood reports show elevated Total Ig E which indicates an allergic process in body.
Itching is probably due to allergic reaction.
Specific Ig E is against cat dander and D pteronyssi - this suggests that you are allergic against these two agents.
Management involves avoidance of the causative agent and anti-histaminics to reduce the symptoms of allergy.
In addition, there is elevation of light chains- kappa and lambda.
Elevation of light chains can be due to plasma cell dyscrasia.
Thus, plasma cell dyscrasia needs to be ruled out.
I suggest you to consult your hematologist and get serum protein electrophoresis to rule out plasma dyscrasia.
The fasting blood glucose is also high. This could be indicative of diabetes mellitus.
I suggest you to get it repeated once and consult your physician.

In case you have more queries, I will be glad to answer.

Thanks and take care

Brief Answer:
The light chain proteins may be repeated after the allergy is under control

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome again,
There is a possibility that light chain proteins are raised due to underlying allergic process.
Since, the ratio of light chains is normal, possibility of plasma cell dyscrasia is low.
However, I suggest you to repeat these investigations once the allergic process is under control.

Hi , I had visited Hematologist and he said no need to do further testing as its normal because if only one is high ( lambada or kappa test ) then we need to check plasma cell else not required . As per Hematologist , ration is normal so no need to go for further investigation . he has not given any medicine . now you please tell me which medicine i should take to reduce allergy ?

Brief Answer:
Allergy can be managed by anti-histaminic drugs

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome again,
The symptoms of allergy can be controlled by anti-histaminic drugs.
However, it is best to avoid the allergen because the symptoms remain till you will be in contact with allergen.

Thanks and take care
