What Does Delayed Period Along With Headache And Back Pain Indicate?

I have never been diagnosed with pcos, but it runs in my family. I have always had irregular periods, and sometimes it could be normal for a couple of months. My last period was December 21 of 2016. My partner and I had unprotected intercourse on the 28th of December. I have yet to get a period, but I had a brown like discharge about 3 weeks ago. I ve been having headaches, lower back pain, and have been extremely emotional. Although I ve taken two at home pregnancy test in January, is there any possibility that I could be pregnant? Also I ve had burning sensation in my belly.

Hi, I think you may be having PCO problem. In pcod patients, the problem is with ovulation and thus periods are irregular. So, if your pregnancy test is negative, you can take some medicines like progesterone for inducing periods. Do a thyroid profile and prolactin levels and a ultrasound for your uterus and ovaries to find out the cause of irregular periods. You may need some hormonal treatment.
