Abnormal 23 Hr Ambulatory Eeg Monitoring Session Due To Mild

Abnormal 23 hr ambulatory eeg monitoring session due to mild diffuse background slowing indicative of mild diffuse cerebral dysfunction that is nonspecific in etiology. No epileptiform discharges or electrographic seizures were captured.

Background: the predominant background is characterized by a 8 to 8.5 Hz, 25-50uV symmetric posterior dominant rhythm with good attenuation on eye opening.
Sleep: during drowsiness, the posterior dominant rhythm fragments and attenuates and central theta activity increases. As drowsiness progresses, midline vertex sharp transients were seen. During stage 2 Sleep, symmetric Sleep spindles and K complexes appear.
Activation: hyperventilation and photic stimulation were not preformed.
Diffuse, focal , epileptiform: no abnormality was noted.

Can someone please explain to me what this means. What does a child do when having this? Are there good treatments? What's happening?
