Hi, my boyfriend is an chronic pain patient, and must take large amounts of delatid and oxycodone to function do to extremely painful and severe headaches with an Unknown origin. That being said about 2 weeks ago he went through over 24 hours of cold turkey withdrawal because he lost a little over one days medication and was waiting for the refill. Since then he has been off and not quite himself yet physically. So he vomited after a bowel movement on 11/19/2012 and has had severe abdominal paiƱ as well as excessive gas. We'be kept him hydrated to avoid fecal impacting, but he hasn't been as hungry lately. During the withdrawal he consumed quite a bit of delsym, recommended by the pharmacist due to its opiate similarity. Also, he also took a lot of his prescribed. Klonopin and pepto-bismal. He cannot take immodium because he had a bad reaction to it. Not that he'd need anything like that. He's had no diarrhea. Note:Everytime he has used the bathroom the stool is much more soft/loose in comparison to the hard stool due to his opiate use. It also has been taking much longer to finish a bowel movement despite the urge. You would expect him to have atleast some lowered tolerance, but he has experienced the opposite, and needed more than usual just to get some relief. If you have any idea about what is happening with his pain medicine please let us know right away. Anyway, if you have any advice for him on what he should do, or how to illeviate his pain, I'd greatly appreciate it. Please call 412-609-5547 E-mail: YYYY@YYYY
