Can Chiari Malformation Cause Pain In Neck, Shoulder And Arms?

I am so frustrated!! I have been diagnosed with Chiari Malformation, with an 18mm herniation. I have had complete spinal testing, lumbar, thoracic and cervical and all is normal for my age of 50. (I am female) I began noticing that pain in my spine and arms hands and legs increased with activity such as yoga, and also when I had a virus with a cough. I stopped the yoga and the limb pain and muscle twitches have subsided. Now, though, I seem to be getting more neck shoulderblade and arm pain on a regular basis, even at night, with very little activity. Why would mri show a normal reading if there is definately something going on here. I know that this must be Chiari related but it is so difficult to get anyone to listen!! Look forward to your response, and thank you!
