Can Breastfeeding Cause A Positive ANA Result?

Hi, I have been sick a lot lately and I am trying to get to the bottom of it and make sense of it all. I would also like another doctor’s opinion. I am 30, 5’2,” nursing an 8-month-old RECENT MEDICAL HISTORY*: 1) December 2017 - Gave birth (c-section). My Dr. poked whole in bladder during procedure which resulted in catheter for a week. 2) March 2018 - tonsillitis/pharyngitis, possible staph/impetigo in nose. Was given amoxicillin, mupirocin and steroid shot. 3) April 2018 – Tonsillitis/pharyngitis, knee joint issues 4) May 2018 (At this point I weighed 124lb) – tonsillitis/pharyngitis, possible staph/impetigo in nose, sciatica. Was given amoxicillin, mupirocin and another steroid shot. IUD was inserted at this time. Rapid Strep A came back negative. 5) June 2018 – Minor tonsillitis 6) July 2018 – Bacterial pneumonia (102 fever for 5-6 days, night sweats, shaking, chills, sciatica, rash that looked somewhat like poison ivy. Was given Levaquin and Rocephin. I have been having this rash going on 3 weeks now, small dots poison ivy like in appearance, when scratched (opened) they ooze honey colored – steroid cream helps. About 2 days after Levaquin, I broke out in hives for 5 days on extremities. 7) August 2018 – Starting to feel something come on again – sore throat and very subtle cough. I have lost a total of 11lb since May. (I also had two vaginal yeast infections during all of this in June and April). *I have had history with acute bronchitis in 9/16 and 1/17. I have had several instances with sinusitis. Currently, I am fatigued, can’t gather energy to do simple tasks, foggy, disoriented, stuttering words (happens when disoriented), achy muscles, joints are starting to hurt, weak. ______________ LAB WORK THAT RAISES QUESTIONS**: Antinuclear Antibodies, IFA are Positive Abnormal – 1:640 (but so far autoimmune disease such as Lupus and Celiac have been ruled out) Pneumococcal serotypes 1 IgG (P13, PNX) – 0.08 ug/ML Pneumococcal serotypes 3 IgG (P13, PNX) – 0.33 ug/ML Pneumococcal serotypes 4 IgG (P7, P13, PNX) – 1.09 ug/ML Pneumococcal serotypes 5 IgG (P13, PNX) – 3.83 ug/ML Pneumococcal serotypes 6B IgG (P7, P13, PNX) – 1.14 ug/ML Pneumococcal serotypes 7F IgG (P13, PNX) – 0.39ug/ML Pneumococcal serotypes 8 IgG (PNX) – 0.66 ug/ML Pneumococcal serotypes 9N IgG (PNX) – 0.87 ug/ML Pneumococcal serotypes 9V IgG (P7, P13, PNX) – 0.25ug/ML Pneumococcal serotypes 12F IgG (PNX) – 0.14 ug/ML Pneumococcal serotypes 14 IgG (P7, P13, PNX) – 0.28 ug/ML Pneumococcal serotypes 18C IgG (P7, P13, PNX) – 0.81 ug/ML Pneumococcal serotypes 19F IgG (P7, P13, PNX) – 0.87 ug/ML Pneumococcal serotypes 23F IgG (P7, P13, PNX) – 0.43 ug/ML Because of the pneumococcal serotype results, more labs were ordered for CBC w/diff, Iron (Ferritin, Folate, Vitamin B12, Iron, TIBC/UIBC, Retic Count), Vitamin B12 Deficiency (Peripheral Smear, Retic, Antiparietal Cell Antibody, Gastrin, Intrinsic Factor Blocking Antibody, MMA, Serum, Homocysteine), MTHFR as well as MRSA – Waiting on results. **Immunoglobulins are normal and allergies have been ruled out. ––––––––––––––– DOCTORS SEEN SO FAR: Working closely with my Primary Care Physician, ENT, Pulmonologist, Immunologist. ––––––––––––––– QUESTIONS: Can breastfeeding cause a positive ANA result? Could there be another reason for a positive ANA result? Does the positive ANA result go hand in hand with the sicknesses I have been experiencing? (Immunologist says they are two separate things) My doctor thinks Strep bacteria could be the cause of all of this. If so, do you have any idea which Strep bacteria this sounds like? Is there a way to test this bacterium that is causing upper-respiratory infections? Should I test for something else or do you have any insight as to what this is or what I should do next? Have my pneumococcal titers always been low (reason why I am sick all the time?) or did they get that low because of getting pneumonia? What type of bacterial pneumonia do you suspect this is? Both my primary and immunologist want me to take the pneumococcal vaccine, I went to bring in script to pharmacy and pharmacist says I should hold off since I am nursing. Should I wait till I am done nursing or am I sick enough to where I should stop? This is all very confusing to me and could use some insight. Also, I just recently got a CT scan to be sure all pneumonia is gone and will be discussing results with my pulmonologist on Wednesday. Thank you!
