Can Periods Be Delayed Because Of Having Cold?

I am having a cold at the moment, my problem lies in thre fact that i am worried to take medication, because I missed my period now by two days. I did a home pregnancy test, twice, both times came back negative. Unfortunately I found out tests were expired. I understand my enquiry will hardly warrant a clear answer, however do you think there is chance I might be pregnant? I do not have any other pregnancy signs other than missed period. Do you think it is delayed because of the cold? thank you.
