Could High Macrophage Count Have Led To Skin Outbreaks?

What skin conditions are related to nonspecific autoimmune disease? And do you now any that have reportedly been associated with silicone breast implants? I have had a high macrophage count for over fifteen years and skin outbreaks that no one can seem to diagnose or cure . I am 68 years old and they are getting worse.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

High monocytes count is termed as monocytosis.

Monocytosis is aggravated with increased stress level.

Other condition includes inflammation or bacterial infection.

The skin outbreaks can be the cause of the high macrophages count and antibiotics may be needed to treat the infection.

I suggest to a photo of the skin outbreaks for further evaluation.

Hope my answer was helpful.

If you have further queries feel free to contact me again.

Kind regards!
