My grandson speaks as if he is clogged at the back of his nose -- as if he has some kind of obstruction. People who have heard him have said that he sounds as if he has an adenoid problem. He ran into a car at an intersection when he was about 2 and a half. He darted across the street and a pickup hit him. Luckily it was going slowly. There did not seem to be any immediate adverse reactions to this -- but I am wondering if there is. He gets a lot of colds, which makes it worse, but even when he doesn t have a cold, he still sounds clogged. He also does not eat a lot, and we have trouble finding him pants that are not too big around his waist. I don t know if that is connected, or not. He is almost five years old; if he sucks at something, like a bottle (we still give him a bottle from time to time because he likes it, when he wants to have some quiet time), he will suck for a bit then take it out of his mouth in order to breathe. Is it possible he has a deviated septum?
