Hello,

I have been on the pill (Loestrin) for about 7 months now. This past week, I have had some spotting for about 4 straight days, however I am not supposed to get my period for another 4 days. I should note that I have not missed a day of taking my pill and my boyfriend and I have always used a condom (which has not appeared to have broken).

My doctor told me that spotting is not uncommon and that it may continue until my next period... Even with that being said, I am still very nervous about pregnancy, simply because I read that spotting can be a sign. Do you think this is something I should be worried about? Also, will this spotting affect my period? (i.e. - will I not get it bc I have already been bleeding this week?).
