Do Stomachache Followed By Vomiting And Sleepless Night require An ER Consultation?

Hello I am suffering from stomachache from last 22 days along with back pain...and the pain suddenly starts n suddenly stops...my stomachache started by a vomiting and from last 3 days I m also feeling very much tired n also sleepless nights. Also I m not feeling like to eat something now...there is a continuous feeling that if I ate I will vomit and feeling watery in mouth.

Hi,

The symptoms are very likely to be caused by gastric ulcer disease, or gastritis.

I would recommend taking antacid drugs for two weeks, these include omeprazole, lansoprazole. Hope this would settle if it didn't get better see your doctor for proper evaluation and management.

You may also use syp gaviscon for urgent relief.

If there is no benefit from the drugs in few days, then see your doctor to find the other causes of the pain that may not be related to stomach, but other organs like pancreas, aorta, etc.
