Does Blood Sugar Level Adversely Effect Menstruation?

I am 26 years old and have had menstrual irregularities for about three years since having stopped taking the birth control pill. I had conceived once before, but miscarried about six months ago. I have not had a period since the miscarriage, but I finally began my period. I am also hypoglycemic, and upon testing my blood glucose level when I woke up this morning, it was 127. Can my blood sugar be being affected by my menstrual period?
