Does Dilaudid Cause Swelling And Pain In The Feet?
My 51 year old daughter has glioblastoma brain cancer. She has had 3 surgeries and is looking for a possible 4th at cedars-Sinai in LA next week. It was 1st diagnosed and treated 14 months ago. The steroids she has taken for her recurring headaches have rendered her bloated with a moon face. Therefore, a week ago she was put on Dilaudid. This a.m.she woke up with swollen, painful feet which became increasingly painful upon standing. Could this be a side effect of the medication or an indication of something worse like acides?
Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Swelling and pain in the feet is a common side effect of Dilaudid. In my opinion the symptoms will go away on its own,if the symptoms continue you should consult your doctor for an alternative medication.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
