Does An Ovarian Anechoic Cyst Need Surgical Removal?

Hi, iam sita (age 25), left ovary shows anechoic cyst size of 6.5 x 6.3 x 5.7 cm with no septation or solid areas. i don't have any pain.

My Doctor say that this needs to be watched for a couple of months, if its persist, then it's to be removed by surgery.

Can you please suggest me whether really needs to have surgery for removal.
