i have "breakouts" of lip chapping that almost seem like sun burn peeling but i have an insatiable urge to chew and chew untill the chapping is gone. have used numerous chapsticks etc and to no avail. its almost like a medical issue. the urge to chew is brought on by the numbness that accompanies the exposed area. the one thing about this condition is that it always occurs on same lip same place? is this a medical issue? type of herpes?
