Does Medication For Vertigo Work While Having Glaucoma In Eyes?

Hi Doctor, i had my checkup yesterday, and an internal medicine doctor found out that i have BPPV (type of vertigo). He gave me medicine for my case, but this medicine does not stop my dizziness. What might be the cause of this? The same doctor advice me to visit an ophthalmologist to check up my eyes. Accidentally, the ophthalmologist see signs of glaucoma in my eyes and he requested me to have a perimetry examination. thus, vertigo and glaucoma compliments to each other? why the medicine prescribed to me for my vertigo does not work at all?
