Had Appendex Removed. Abdominal Swollen, Feel Sore, Bruised And Deep Purple. Help?
I'm 33 and had my appendex removed 48 hours ago. Larascopic. Abdomin is swollen and sore, but my main concern is the base of my penis. I noticed it has become swollen and looks badly bruised. Deep purple in color. This is only occurring on the top side of my penis and the top of my scrotum is also turning purple . There is no soreness or pain in this area and my penis has not experienced any truma.

let me know the diagnosis and intra operative abdominal findings,duration of surgery,any complications or was the surgery uneventful,immediate post op,any food or liquids allowed and after how much time,did you pass flatus,are you on any other medication,is your coagulation of blood normal..
post operative abdominal distension might not be uncommon (paralytic ileus,hypokalemia)..but penis turning purple might not be normal(usually after trauma,collection of blood,fracture penis,)
i suggest you immediately consult surgeon ,get total blood invg,usg and ct abdomen and if required diagnostic laparoscopy to look into abdomen and proceed accordingly...do not delay or ignore..bye

Purple coloration is due to hamper in blood supply .
In my opinion at once consult operating surgeon and he will decide ,what is the reason.
