Pulmonologist 's  Response
There can be many causes for this type of cough. The commonest in your case appears to allergic in nature. There is a condition called `cough variant asthma` which is allergic in nature. you need to consult a pulmonologist who can put you through some tests so that the diagnosis can be established and corrective measures can be undertaken. You should stop chewing tobacco straight away.
