Headache While Standing, Stomachache, Dizziness, Ear Drum Swollen, Lips Pale White, Taken Antibiotic
10-yr old daughter cannot stand without getting a headache in the area above her forehead (top of front-head) which then progressed to feeling her stomach hurt, and then dizziness . Went to ER Thursday. Given antiobiotic because one ear drum was swollen. Dizziness was attributed to that. But I had her stand for me while I combed through her hair, and she could not. Plus her lips got pale whitish. How do I follow-up? What could be causing this?
Hi Sorry to hear about you daughters condition. The things that you described are suggestive of sinus infection(sinusitis) due to upper respiratory infection. In children due to respiratory infection stomachaches are common due to abdominal lymphadenitis. Just continue the antibiotics as prescribed, decongestants, steam inhelation and multi vitamins. Follow up if she still has fever or any nasal discharge or any other symptoms or if the things worsens. Hope the suggestion helps. Feel free to ask any further quarries. Thanking you Dr Samir
