Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello, I am a neurologist but I cannot find an answer to this question. I have a family member with minimally invasive follicular thyroid carcinoma over 45 who just had a thyroidectomy. The staging she received from her doctor appears per his writing to be T2asN0M0, She is over 45 so i expect that is stage 2, but I cannot figure out the "as" part. I expect it is histopathology. That is what it appears per his writing. I tried to look it up, but was not certain I was coming up with the correct conclusions. Could you advise me on the what the letters are representing. I am not asking for recommendations on a cancer patient you do not know--just the interpretation of the terminology.
