Hello, I Donated Plasma Today. I Have Donated Twice A
Hello, I donated plasma today. I have donated twice a week for 2 weeks now without an issue. This time however, I felt bad toward the end of my donation and I told the tech. They gave me ice packs because I was beginning to feel really nauseous and hot. The tech then noticed that the phlebotomist that hooked me up to machine didn’t hook the saline up so it was never automatically given to me. She said they won’t be giving me saline today and gave me a Gatorade to drink. I got up and left. 20 minutes after I left I felt so horrible and weak that I could even make it inside a store and went back to my girlfriends car. I told her I felt I was going to pass out. I not only passed out, but apparently had a seizure. She said I raised my head to look at her (I don’t remember this) and my pupils were so big there was no color in my eyes then my pupils got pinpoint small and I began seizing. I peed all over her front seat and she called 911. I got into ambulance and began feeling the headache again. My mouth began to feel funny and my head started fuzzing out like I was going to have another episode of what just happened. I panicked and started crying. This is turning into a long story but at the hospital the doctor said I didn’t have a seizure diagnosed me with syncope with collapse. I however disagree. I had blood work done and a CT but I feel very strongly that I in fact had a seizure. Why would this happen and do you think I was misdiagnosed?
