Hello.
I have been on implanon for almost 4 years now. It usually takes 3years so this is my second time of getting implant. I have been having irregular bleeding since I started using it and my doctor gave me postan 500mg and tranexamic acid 500mg. I was told that this will control the bleeding and my period will be normal from like 3 months of usage.
Unfortunately, it hasn't. I finished my period 2weeks ago and after one day of no discharge, my period returned with full force for 2more days. Since then, I have been having spotting till date. This is like extra 2weeks of spotting. I am worried . Aside from spotting, I do not have any side effect of using implanon. So, rather than change the implant to another type of contraception, I would want to know what can be done to help me get rid of this irregular bleeding and spotting. Is there no other possible solution aside these two drugs prescribed by my gynae?
