Hello.Welcome to HCM forum.Big lump is possibly the extravasated blood in skin from the puncture site of vein and red arm is because of THROMBOPHLEBITIS.Apply ice locally and ointment THROMBOPHOB locally along with routine pain killers like IBUPROFEN 400 mg three times a day for 3 to 5 days should make the things alright for you.Thanks and good luck.
