How Can severe Forearm Pain Be Treated?

I m having serious pain in the area where the forearm tendon connects at the elbow. Been going on for about a month, no pain meds help. I m preparing to begin radiation therapy for prostate cancer and I was given a hormone therapy injection to reduce my testosterone level. Could this be the cause or should I go see a orthopedic doctor?

Hi
Thanks for posting your query on HCM
I have read and understood your concern.Sorry to hear you are suffering from from prostate cancer.
Your forearm pain may not be related to your underlying condition or be as a result of the injection.Possible causes may include:Bursitis,Golfer's elbow, Osteoarthritis, Osteochondritis dissecans, Rheumatoid arthritis, Sprains and strains, Stress fractures, Tendinitis, Tennis elbow, Throwing injuries, Trapped nerves...
I will suggest you try the following:
-Take a pain drug like aceclofenac
-A myorelaxant like miorel
-A local pain gel like voltarene for application
If pain persist, you see your Orthopedic Doctor then for evaluation.
Hope this will help. You may write back if more concerns
Best regards
