Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome. I hate it very much. I don t have periods and I m always hurting. I m 18 years old and most girls hate having a period, but i want mine. My doctor currently has me on birth control pills because it apparently helps with getting rid of cysts. I don t know if it s true or not. Is there something else i can do to get rid of these cysts? So i can have a regular period.
Hi, in pcos patients the problem is with ovulation and thus periods get delayed. You need some hormonal treatment to treat it. Try losing some weight. It will help a lot. Also do a thyroid profile and prolactin levels.
