Understanding your concern. As per your query acid reflux and chronic cough symptoms points towards gastro-esophageal reflux disease in which acid from stomach enters into food pipe and throat leading to irritation and inflammation which causes heartburn as well as tickling and irritation in throat. You should take combination of proton pump inhibitors such as Omeprazole or Pantoprazole along with antacids such as Calcium carbonate. You should avoid large meals rather than this take frequent small meals. Drink plenty of water. Avoid spicy, acidic, hot food substances.
