How Can Diarrhea And Frequent Bowel Movements In A Toddler Be Treated?

my daughter is 25 months and 19 days old, she is suffering from diarrhea since last 52 hours. No fever. 4 Number of motions per day. Water intake is less, she doesn't like ORS, even then i try giving it to her and for Nausea i have given her Gravinate syrup twice a day. Motion improves a little bit and then it turns back again to complete watery state.. i try giving her boiled rice water, which seems effective.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

As per your history, it may be due to infection. kindly consult with pediatrician for proper examination and to check dehydration status. He may require syp. Metronidazole, syp. Mefenamic acid, oral rehydration solution after consultation. Keep him hydrated and give soft diet. kindly allow him to take proper rest.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
