How Can Diarrhea And Vomiting After Gallbladder Removal Be Treated?
My husband use to have his esophagus stretched. It did not seem to help so he quit. In the mean time he got laid off from his job and lost his insurance. Last year when he had insurance he had several test on his stomach because he kept throwing up. They did a hydra test and several more. So they took his gallbladder out. The year before they took his appendix out. Almost every day he throws up, or has diarrhea. What to do ?
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Diarrhea or vomiting after gallbladder removal may be due to post cholicystectomy syndrome or gastric outlet obstruction or infection or food Intolerance etc. Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is. You may need upper GI scopy, ultrasound abdomen for cholicystitis or appendicitis or infections etc. Please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
