Hello, I am a 47 years old female, with a lifetime of chronic illness...endometriosis, Steven Johnsons Syndrome, ulcerative colitis, early stage kidney disease (horseshoe kidney). My kidneys didnt start bothering me until about 5 years ago, with kidney stones 3x, frequent UTI s or Kidney infections my whole life, Potassium going into critial condition. In the last few years I have had chronic bladder and Kidney pain. in the last month and a half Ive been at the ER with a UTI turning into a Kidney infection that will not go away, and critical potassium levels. From 2015-2017 I had chronic diareaha that I finally got under control. Doctors feel my potassium levels were constantly criticial during that time, as I was severly lethargic, had fainting and blacking out spells, could not eat normally. This is all coming to light in the past month due to this infection. My urine is not testing positive for medication that I have been on for 20 years (Effexor XR). My blood results come back OK. However, a large mass has been found on the right side of my Kidney. The doctors feel it could be cancerous but have yet to biopsy. They have been more concerned with getting this infection under control and potassium leveled out before putting more stress on the kidney. I feel that they should not be waiting as I am in pain. Can you please give me any insite and should I seek another opinion?
