I have a hard lump on my neck under my jawbone by about an inch or two. It is about 3/4 to 1/2 of a CM large, and has been about the same size for a week or so other than irritation from my shaving, then it went back down and has possibly shrunk a bit. About 3 months ago I had the same thing under my chin, not quite as hard and has since shrunk quite a bit, but is still slightly there. The one I am more concerned about is just below that, slightly bigger (but still 3/4 cm or less), hard, possibly attached to the skin. Also, when the first one came, 3 months ago, I had a cold it felt like for about 2 weeks, maybe 3. Then it seemed to get smaller since. I noticed the new lump earlier this week and then that night noticed I seemed to be congested again with some drainage down my throat and nasal pressure. From what I have read they are small so I shouldn't be too concerned, but the fact it is in two of them and is firm (feels like a little bebe, but not quite so hard but about that size) I made an appointment next week to get it looked at. Thoughts?
Hi, dear I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern. You may have enlarged lymphnode due to reactive hyperplasia or some infection in salivary gland leads to siledenitis or other mass. You should go for fine needle aspiration cytology or biopsy of that lump. It will give you exact diagnosis. Then you should take treatment accordingly. Hope I have answered your question, if you have doubt then I will be happy to answer. Thanks for using health care magic. Wish you a very good health.
