How Can Itchy Rashes On The Back And Arms Be Treated?
I thought I had a couple of mosquito bites on my back. I now have more on my left arm and one on my right arm. They are red and raised. In some places I have two or more. They are very itchy. I have tried Benadryl and now a cortisone cream. This started yesterday afternoon with one bite .
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of itchy rashes on the back and arms which seems to be due to contact dermatitis, folliculitis, bug bites and allergic reaction.
I would suggest you to
- Apply cold compresses on rashes. - Avoid applying any cosmetic product except petroleum jelly. - Take over counter antihistamine like benadryl. - Drink plenty of water. - Wear loose cloths .
If condition doesn't get well the consult dermatologist for proper examination. Doctor may order test like blood test , allergy test and skin patch test to confirm the diagnosis. Doctor may prescribe immunosuppressants along with corticosteroid ointment or antibiotics like clindamycin .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
