How Can Knee Pain, Stiffness With Crepitus Be Treated?

Hello,my name is Matthew. I was lifting a stone slab with a friend into my work vehicle. 2 days later my knee was the size of a grapefruit. I am a tile setter by trade, and 40 years of age. The movement of my knee, has been limited, due to pain, and stiffness. Had to finish job, which included walking up stairs. Oddly enough, the swelling has gone down for the most part, but know I hear hear a clicking noise, and experience pain when walking up or down stairs.
