How Can Redness And Swelling Around A Tattoo Be Treated?

So I got a tattoo and I had to cover it with a bandaid to protect it. The adhesive on the bandaid was too strong and it damaged my skin. Dermatologist 's  Response
Hi,

It could be an Irritant contact dermatitis. Treatment is application of mild steroid cream. But, before initiating steroid cream, it is wiser to treat any infection in the area, if present.

I request to consult your Dermatologist for undergoing proper examination and for providing apt treatment for you.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Siva Subramanian, Dermatologist
