How Can Severe Acne Be Treated?

I have been struggling with acne since the 7th grade and I am not about to graduate from high school. As of now I am on retina A .001% (i have been on this for probably over a year now), Clindamycin Phosphate Topical Solution 1% (been on this for over a year as well) and Trimethoprim 100 mg twice a day for almost a month now. I did try doxycycline monohydrate for two motnhs prior to the trimethoprim but that didnt work. I feel as if the Trimethoprim is not working because it almost completely cleared up my skin the first few weeks but now I am breaking out in places I have never before (tiny bumps on my forehead and my lower back). My skin is still super oily and feel once I finish my 2 months on Trimethoprim that I will just break out all over again. At this point I want to try accutane.

Hi,

Severe acne can be treated by Soframycin ointment.

Also, clean your face twice daily with soap.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
