How Can Swelling In The Right Flank Area Be Treated?

i have slight swelling in the right flank area - with dull pain not bad thou. No fever, weight loss, not jaundice, had a abdominal scan and they saw a cyst on liver - could this be causing the swelling - only swells if I do anything to over exert the right side (painting, lifiting something heavy) swelling goes down after I take a round of NASIDS -this has been going off and on for about a year? One DR says neck issues, one shoulder issues, I am stumped..
