How Long Should I Wait To Go To The Hospital For Evaluation While Having Fever And Headaches?
On Thurs 8/2 had a tooth root removed under general anesthesia. No pain after surgery or in the jaw at all. Began a course of Amoxicillin (500 mg 3x daily 7 days) on Friday 8/3. On Sunday I began to have pain in my forehead, chills, and weakness. Monday morning included dry heaves as I had not eaten except liquids. finished the Amoxicillin on Wed and discussed my headache and tiredness with my wife s doctor. Discussed it with my Doctor on Thursday he ordered a course of Amoxicillin with Clav. begun on Thursday evening. Still feeling weak and headache with Slight fever (99). as of Saturday morning. Should I wait a little longer or go to the hospital for evaluation.

I feel you should take the newly ordered antibiotics at least for 3 days,before you go to the doctor for revaluation.You can add half a pill of Crispin, if you have headache.
Capsule B complex over-the-counter to combat weakness.
But, if you find the symptoms increasing ,you should visit him earlier.
