How Safe Is Taking BC Pills For Involuntary Abdominal Muscle Contractions?

My 16, almost 17, year old daughter has been experiencing involuntary abdominal muscle contractions for the past 5-6 months. She says they are not painful but feel like when it happens all the air is forced out of her lungs. It happens at least once a day, most consistently when she goes to bed and is trying to fall asleep. Also, she has had random chest pain (for over a year), most likely associated with stress but has seen a cardiologist and is having a treradmill stress test this week, not sure if they could be related?

She is 5'5" and about 125lb. Active in sports and had ACL reconstruction surgery a little over a year ago. She currently takes a BC pill and 20mg prozac daily.

Thank you.
